A highly respected, global law firm is seeking an experienced Law Student Recruiting Manager to lead and manage law student and entry‑level attorney recruiting for its Chicago office. This is a role with strong visibility and long‑term growth potential for someone looking to build a career in recruiting.
Position Overview
This role will oversee the full lifecycle of law student and entry‑level recruiting, including strategy, execution, hiring, and integration. The Manager will partner closely with firm leadership, practice group heads, recruiting committees, and the broader attorney recruiting and talent team. This individual will also directly manage two recruiting professionals and play a key role during the summer associate program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead law student and entry‑level recruiting strategy and execution for the Chicago office
- Manage and develop two direct reports
- Partner closely with firm leadership, recruiting committees, and senior recruiting leaders
- Oversee on‑campus recruiting, interview programs, summer associate programming, offers, and integration
- Coordinate with firmwide attorney recruiting and talent teams to ensure consistency and best practices
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders throughout the recruiting lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of direct law firm recruiting experience required
- Prior people‑management or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of law student and entry‑level recruiting processes
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and committees
Work Model
- Hybrid schedule: 3-4 days in office, with flexibility for 5 days when needed
