Our client, an established real estate firm, is seeking a Community Manager to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in Bel Air, Maryland.
About The Job:
- Lead daily operations of an affordable housing community, overseeing onsite office and maintenance teams
- Manage leasing activity, waitlists, recertifications, and administrative operations
- Oversee rent collection, delinquencies, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs including Project-Based Section 8, HUD, and LIHTC
- Maintain strong resident relationships and handle tenant matters with professionalism and discretion
- Oversee property maintenance, vendor coordination, and operational improvements
- Implement and maintain property standards, procedures, and best practices
About You:
- 3+ years of property management experience required
- Affordable housing experience required, including Project-Based Section 8
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, rent collections, and financial reporting
- Experience with property management systems such as RealPage, OneSite, or JD Edwards preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing onsite teams
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Resident-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable handling sensitive tenant situations and regulatory compliance
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $28/hr
- $60K when converted
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- 100% onsite
