Our client, a financial firm, is seeking an Interim Director of HR operations to join their team on a temporary basis with potential to go permanent in Bethesda, Maryland.
About The Job:
- Oversee core HR operations and support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, and separations
- Manage compensation programs, including salary, bonus, and incentive structures, and advise leadership on compensation decisions
- Maintain HR systems, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system optimization
- Build and analyze HR reports to support business decisions
- Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment, vendor coordination, and 401(k) compliance
- Oversee payroll processes with full accountability for accuracy and audit readiness
- Handle employee relations matters and maintain compliance with HR policies and regulations
- Supervise a small HR team while remaining hands-on across HR operations
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience with HRIS and ATS platforms
- Deep knowledge of compensation benchmarking and data-driven decision making
- Advanced analytical skills with experience building reports and models
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience managing sensitive employee issues with sound judgment and discretion
- Background in financial services, asset management, or regulated environments is a plus
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $75-87/hr
- Perm Salary Range: $180K-$250K
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite
