Our client, a growing technical services and project-based organization, is seeking a contract to hire Human Resources Manager to lead and enhance HR operations for their workforce. This is a highly visible role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building processes, partnering with leadership, and supporting a diverse employee population across technical, field, and corporate teams.
About You:
- 7+ years of HR experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, field services, or a related industry required
- Experience independently managing a broad HR function and serving as the primary HR resource for a business unit, division, or organization
- Prior experience managing, mentoring, or developing HR staff required
- Strong recruiting experience across technical, operational, skilled trades, engineering, sales, or professional-level positions
- Experience developing and facilitating employee training, onboarding, or professional development programs
- Strong systems aptitude with experience utilizing HRIS, ERP, payroll, or other HR technology platforms to improve efficiency and support organizational growth
- Knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, FMLA, and workers’ compensation processes
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and execution-focused
About the Role:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and supervise a small HR team
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, background checks, clearances, and employee documentation
- Administer employee relations matters, benefits, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and compliance initiatives
- Lead recruiting efforts for engineers, technicians, sales professionals, and other key positions
- Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and training programs
- Partner with leadership to support organizational growth and workforce planning
- Evaluate existing HR workflows and systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Support HR technology initiatives, including enhancements to HRIS and ERP systems
This role is fully onsite position at the company’s Chadds Ford, PA office Monday through Friday. Compensation is up to $110,000 depending on experience.
