Our client, a Fintech technology company with an office close to Columbus Circle in Manhattan is looking for a Long-Term Temporary Receptionist to join their team. This position will start as soon as the right fit is identified for an estimated 4-month contract with potential to extend. This schedule is fully onsite Monday-Thursday, and the hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexibility to come earlier or stay later if there is a need on any given day). The hourly pay rate is $20.00-$22.00/hr DOE.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct visitors, answer incoming calls, and forward messages professionally.
- Coordinate conference room reservations and maintain cleanliness of reception and meeting areas.
- Perform reception area coverage and maintain security protocols (e.g., issuing badges, visitor logs).
- Coordinate office maintenance, mail distribution, supply ordering, and vendor coordination.
- Initiate and follow up on facility repair requests.
- Support large meetings and employee events, including catering and setup.
- Maintain seating charts and desk assignments.
- Implement site orientation for new employees and contractors.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support.
- Assist with executive and internal meeting requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of strong customer service experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Professional demeanor and ethical integrity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new platforms.
