A mission driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in Mt. Vernon, Virginia.
About The Job:
- Provide administrative support to HR and Payroll teams
- Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries; escalate complex issues
- Maintain confidential HR records and update HRIS (Paycom preferred)
- Ensure compliance with I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Support onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
- Assist with training coordination and performance management communications
- Prepare HR reports, compliance documentation, and presentations
- Process employment verifications and unemployment requests
- Plan and execute employee events and support HR projects
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field
- 3+ years of HR experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with HRIS; Paycom preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Spanish bilingual is required
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- Duration: 6-month temp-to-perm
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- $23-$26/hr
- Permanent Salary: $58K
