Our client, a nonprofit medical association is seeking a Trade Convention & Meetings Coordinator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in Linthicum, Maryland.
About The Job:
- Coordinate logistics for assigned meetings and events, including venue selection, contract negotiation, travel, registration, catering, and audiovisual needs
- Manage meeting budgets, review invoices, and ensure accurate billing and expense reconciliation
- Plan and execute a variety of in-person and virtual meetings, trainings, retreats, and special events
- Coordinate hotel, flight, and travel arrangements for attendees, speakers, and stakeholders
- Support Annual Meeting operations, including social events, room set-up, attendee logistics, and on-site event execution
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, hotels, and travel partners to ensure successful event delivery
- Provide administrative and project support to the Meetings department as needed
About You:
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of meeting planning or event coordination experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Experience coordinating event logistics, budgets, vendors, and travel arrangements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom/Webinar, and Outlook
- Event management software experience is a plus
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $25-$28/hr
- Permanent Salary: $63K-$65K
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite
- Reliable transportation required
- Moderate travel required
