Job Summary
The Aftermarket Sales Support Clerk will provide vital support to the Warehouse Manager, Office Manager and Sales Team, through the efficient and accurate processing of incoming orders and outgoing shipments. The Aftermarket Sales Support Clerk contributes to providing quality customer service and helps the sales team meet its targets.
The position will take on the role of entering all spare parts sales orders into an ERP system, acknowledge order to customer, print the necessary paperwork (sales order, picking tickets), pull parts and stage those parts for the Warehouse Manager to pack and ship. As time allows, will learn the pack and ship process to eventually fill in for Warehouse Manager when they are out of the office, invoice daily orders, update spreadsheets, and assist with import procedures.
Essential Job Functions – Orders
- Process sales orders to include checking the order for accuracy, contacting the appropriate salesperson to discuss discrepancies with the order and contacting customers for additional information when needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with the sale steam on backorders, delays, shipping updates and any communication required to provide a transparent process.
- Communicate to customers information about their shipment, delivery dates, backorders, etc.
- Deal with routine requests for price quotes, delivery dates, copies of invoices, tracking numbers and passing on technical queries.
- Maintain and continuously update sales/customer records.
Essential Job Functions – Warehouse
- Pull parts from shelves and stage for packaging, always ensuring accuracy.
- Assist with inventory and routine cycle counting.
- Ensure parts and packaging are of a quality to send to external customers.
- Pack parts when time permits.
- Process orders in appropriate shipping software (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak with customers via telephone and email.
- Work accurately with great attention to detail so that orders are processed quickly and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP system a plus.
