Our client, a local DC school, is seeking an HR Coordinator to join their team on a temporary with a strong possibility of going permanent in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HRIS updates, employee records, and offboarding processes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries, coordinating communications and maintaining HR documentation
- Administer leave requests, workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims, and related compliance tracking
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, ATS management, onboarding logistics, and new hire orientation
- Support employee engagement initiatives, training administration, accommodation requests, and compliance reporting
- Assist with HR vendor management, invoice processing, benefits audits, and departmental reporting
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
- 2+ years of HR experience (internships included)
- Experience with HRIS, ATS platforms, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and payroll-related systems
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and employment law documentation
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $20-$24/hr, based on experience
- Fully onsite in Washington, DC
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
