Our client, a global consulting and talent advisory organization, is seeking a hybrid Benefits Specialist to join their team. This role was designed to support an expanding workforce by taking ownership of the day-to-day administration of the company’s benefits programs and serving as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries. This position is largely remote, with in-person days in the Philadelphia office. Compensation includes a base salary up to $90,000, commisserate with experience.
About the Job
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leadership regarding health, welfare, retirement, and leave-related benefit programs, providing guidance and support across all offerings.
- Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, COBRA activities, and annual Open Enrollment coordination.
- Maintain and audit benefits data within Paylocity, ensuring accuracy across employee records, payroll deductions, vendor integrations, eligibility reports, and vendor feeds.
- Process benefits-related invoices, funding requests, and reconciliations while partnering with Payroll and external vendors to ensure accurate deductions and funding activities.
- Coordinate leave of absence and accommodation processes in collaboration with third-party administrators and conduct benefits orientations and ongoing employee education initiatives.
- Draft and distribute benefits communications, maintain policies and internal resources, support compliance and reporting requirements, and partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and leadership to deliver a seamless employee benefits experience.
About You
- Bring 2-3+ years of dedicated benefits administration experience, or 5+ years of HR experience with significant responsibility for employee benefits programs.
- Demonstrate expertise supporting health, welfare, retirement, leave, and ancillary benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, Open Enrollment, and vendor management.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on complex benefits questions and sensitive life events with professionalism and discretion.
- Utilize advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills to manage large datasets, perform reconciliations, and generate accurate reporting.
- Leverage HRIS systems to support benefits administration, with Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all employee levels, including executive and C-suite leadership, while managing multiple priorities in a professional services or corporate environment.
