Our client is seeking a Temporary Sales Development Representative to support the launch of a newly approved healthcare product. This position offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to increase hours and grow into a full-time role as the product launch expands.
Position Summary
As the first point of contact for healthcare practices, the Sales Development Representative will introduce the product, identify key decision-makers, coordinate product sample shipments, and schedule meetings for the field sales team. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, persistence, organization, and comfort with outbound calling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to medical practices, including dermatology, pediatric, and allergy offices
- Identify key contacts and decision-makers within targeted healthcare organizations
- Coordinate welcome-kit distribution and confirm receipt
- Schedule meetings, presentations, and lunch-and-learn sessions for the field sales team
- Utilize scheduling platforms and office contacts to secure appointments
- Maintain accurate CRM records, documenting all calls, outreach efforts, and follow-up activities
- Track shipments, appointments, and engagement activities
- Provide market feedback and insights to help refine outreach strategies and messaging
- Consistently execute follow-up campaigns and maintain an organized pipeline
Qualifications
- Previous cold-calling, business development, inside sales, customer service, or appointment-setting experience preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with new contacts
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable handling rejection and maintaining a positive attitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Professional and personable communication style
- Ability to accurately document and manage activities within a CRM system
Preferred Background
- Medical office, healthcare, dental, veterinary, pharmacy, or clinical administration experience
- Experience working with physicians’ offices or healthcare providers
- Previous sales development, lead generation, or customer outreach experience
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools
