Our client, a nonprofit association is seeking a Part-Time Health Policy Coordinator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in Alexandria, Virginia.
About The Job:
- Coordinate operations for a healthcare-focused policy committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, tracking action items, and maintaining committee records.
- Serve as the primary liaison to an external government relations firm and help manage advocacy projects, timelines, and deliverables.
- Monitor healthcare policy and legislative developments and support advocacy initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Assist with drafting advocacy materials, policy communications, action alerts, and member updates.
- Prepare briefing documents, research summaries, and talking points for leadership and committee members.
- Support grassroots advocacy efforts, member engagement activities, and policy-related events.
- Collaborate with leadership, committee members, and external partners to advance advocacy and public policy objectives.
About You:
- MPH, graduate degree, or current doctoral student in public health or a related field required
- Strong interest in health policy, healthcare advocacy, public health, or government affairs
- Excellent research, project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfortable working with physicians, researchers, policymakers, and senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with federal healthcare agencies and legislative processes preferred
- Experience in advocacy, government relations, healthcare associations, nonprofits, or committee support is a plus
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $23-$26/hr
- Conversion Pay: Equivalent to $60,000 annually
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- 20-25 hours per week
