Our client, a leading nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization, is seeking a Temporary HR Administrative Assistant to join their team onsite in Dedham, MA. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire, offering $28/hour and a Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-3:45 PM schedule. This highly visible position serves as the first point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors, providing HR support, exceptional customer service, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the front desk representative for the HR department, greeting visitors and handling incoming calls.
- Assist employees with basic HR and Workday-related inquiries.
- Guide applicants through the application and onboarding processes.
- Verify, track, and maintain I-9 documentation and employment records.
- Coordinate interviews, meetings, orientations, and other HR-related events.
- Process employment verifications, expense reimbursements, and vendor invoices.
- Assist with background checks, CORI screenings, and new hire onboarding.
- Maintain employee files and ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of HR records.
- Prepare materials for job fairs, recruitment events, and open enrollment activities.
- Manage office supplies, mail distribution, filing, and general administrative support.
Candidate Qualifications
- 2-4 years of HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or Administrative Assistant experience.
- Previous HR exposure strongly preferred.
- Experience with Workday, HRIS/HCM systems, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a busy environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach with a willingness to learn.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
