Our client, a law firm located in Rockefeller Center, is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Medicaid Coordinator to join their team. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays and the hours are 9am-5pm daily. Responsibilities:
- Meeting with Manager or Assistant Manager of the Medicaid Department to discuss cases.
- Reviews referral documentation and prepare Medicaid application forms and other documentation (DOH forms, MAP forms, IRS forms, SSA forms, authorization, information sheets, HIPAA, prepare various letters to financial institutions and send out for signature)
- Prepare letters to various Department of Social Services (DSS), complete Medicaid application packages – this job function includes organizing various documents, photocopying and/or scanning to NetDoc.
- Prepare Federal Express (FedEx) labels and drop packages at FedEx.
- Update and/or review notes on WebAR.
- Update time sheets to enter activities throughout the day.
- Make follow-up phone calls to banks, brokerage firms, pension companies etc.
- Update Medicaid cases list.
- Fax documents as necessary.
- Review financial account statements and prepare explanation sheets.
- Verify/ Run Medicaid CIN numbers for eligibility.
- Mail letters/ packages via FedEx & regular mail out in connection with Medicaid cases.
- Enter time on TABS.
- Keep track of all emails receive and provide updates to clients as necessary, as needed.
- Set calendar reminders to follow up on outstanding letters sent out or with DSS.
- Send emails to clients as necessary to request documentation as needed.
- Prepare remittance Medicaid payment reports.
- Work with attorneys to ensure all case issues are resolved.
Requirements:
- At least two plus years of Medicaid experience.
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excell & Outlook
- Writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Team player
Compensation:
- Up to 75k DOE
