Our client, a large association in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced events/trade show professional to join their busy team based in Herndon, VA!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead project manager for multiple U.S. and Mexico based trade shows, with support from the Trade Show Operations team.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, exhibitor participation and communication, marketing coordination, and exhibitor hall operations.
- Coordinate setup, testing, updates, and functionality of exhibitor platforms, floor plans, online directories, mobile apps, and exhibitor resource tools.
- Collaborate with floor managers, vendors, and exhibitors to support successful move-in, show operations, and move-out activities.
- Responsible for overseeing sponsorship opportunities and exhibitor agreements and requirements.
- Manage all trade show operations for two trade shows in Mexico, collaborating with the Mexico-based team and project managing all parts.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of trade show experience and a bachelors degree is required.
- Experience overseeing multiple medium to large trade shows annually.
- Impeccable detail-orientation, prioritization skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Spanish language proficiency helpful, but not required.
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time (about 6 trade shows) annually.
About the Role:
- Salary range of $80K-$90K base salary + a strong annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunity.
- Comfortable working on-site 3 days/week in Herndon, VA.
