Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Design, develop, and implement employee learning and development programs, including e-learning, instructor-led, and virtual training solutions
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, define objectives, and create engaging training content
- Build and manage interactive learning materials using instructional design and e-learning authoring tools
- Administer and support the LMS, including course deployment, testing, reporting, user enrollment, and tracking
- Coordinate virtual and live training logistics, evaluate training effectiveness, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Create facilitator guides, job aids, workbooks, assessments, and knowledge transfer documentation
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of Learning & Development, instructional design, or LMS administration experience
- Experience designing and developing training programs and e-learning content
- Strong LMS administration experience; Rise 360 experience preferred
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Canva, or similar platforms
- Portfolio showcasing instructional design or LMS-related work preferred
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- Long-term temporary opportunity through January 2027 with likely extension
- $30-$33/hr
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite
- 35-hour work week; typically 9:00 AM-5:00 PM with some flexibility
