Our client, a highly regarded investment management organization, is seeking a Temporary Office Manager to join their team onsite in Cambridge, MA. This opportunity offers $30.50/hour, follows an 8:30 AM-5:30 PM schedule with a one-hour lunch, and is expected to last 6 months. This position plays a critical role in supporting office operations, workplace services, event coordination, and administrative functions while ensuring a professional, organized, and efficient environment for employees and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, ensuring conference rooms, kitchens, common areas, supplies, and equipment are maintained and organized.
- Coordinate office supply ordering, vendor relationships, maintenance requests, deliveries, and inventory management.
- Support office events, meetings, and visitor activities, including catering, room setup, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Process invoices, expenses, purchase requests, and related administrative documentation.
- Provide administrative support to shared services and HR teams, including scheduling, project coordination, and special initiatives.
- Serve as backup receptionist, greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, coordinating guest parking, and supporting front desk operations.
- Maintain office policies, process documentation, correspondence, mail distribution, and other administrative records.
Candidate Qualifications
- 2+ years of office management, office coordination, administrative support, or related experience.
- Previous experience supporting a professional corporate office environment preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, executives, vendors, and visitors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience supporting events, facilities coordination, reception, or workplace operations is highly desirable.
