A leading global law firm is seeking a Practice Assistant to join its Legal Operations team and provide dedicated administrative support to senior associates and counsel within a dynamic practice group. This role is ideal for a proactive administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-service-driven environment and enjoys serving as a trusted resource to attorneys and colleagues. The Practice Assistant will play a key role in supporting daily operations, managing competing priorities, and ensuring seamless administrative support for legal professionals handling complex matters.
THE ROLE:
* Partner closely with attorneys, executive assistants, and business services professionals to provide high-quality administrative support and help drive practice group operations.
* Manage complex calendars, coordinate internal and client-facing meetings, and oversee domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries, accommodations, and related logistics.
* Prepare and process expense reports, reimbursements, attorney time entries, and other administrative requests with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
* Assist with billing support, matter administration, attorney biographies, reporting, and other practice group operational initiatives.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for attorneys on administrative matters, helping navigate resources, processes, and firm workflows.
* Coordinate meetings, events, and business development activities that support attorney and client engagement.
* Support client relationship management efforts through CRM maintenance, client gifting initiatives, and administrative support for business development programs.
* Maintain accurate records and workflows using firm-approved technology platforms and tools.
* Deliver exceptional service while handling confidential information with professionalism, judgment, and discretion.
* Collaborate with administrative colleagues to ensure seamless support coverage and operational continuity across the practice group.
YOU:
* High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* 3-5 years of administrative support experience, preferably within legal, professional services, consulting, financial services, or another fast-paced corporate environment.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
* Experience managing calendars, travel arrangements, expense reports, billing support, or other administrative operations.
* Outstanding attention to detail, proofreading skills, and commitment to producing accurate work.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing workflow and business systems.
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client service skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in a professional services environment.
* Collaborative, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset with a desire to continuously improve processes and support team success.
