Beacon Hill Legal is staffing multiple Business Development roles – from Manager to Senior Manager – for several law firms in the Washington, DC area.
Business Development Specialist:
Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or client relations within a law firm or professional services environment. Candidates should have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a solid understanding of the legal industry and practice group support.
Responsibilities include:

Coordinating firmwide submissions to Chambers, Legal 500, and other legal directories.

Managing submission calendars, deadlines, and updates to attorney and firm profiles.

Drafting, editing, and performing quality reviews of directory submissions.

Communicating with attorneys and BD leadership on rankings strategy and progress.

Tracking results and identifying opportunities to enhance the firm’s visibility and rankings.
Business Development & Marketing Project Manager:
Qualified candidates will have 6+ years of experience in business development roles within a law firm or professional services organization. Strong project management, writing, and strategic communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:

Leading the development of pitches, proposals, and client-facing presentations.

Managing practice experience lists and marketing materials across litigation practices.

Supporting strategic client targeting and cross-selling initiatives.

Coordinating profile-raising activities, including rankings, awards, and speaking engagements.

Partnering with attorneys and leadership to execute business development strategies.
Business Development Senior Manager:
Qualified candidates will have 8+ years of experience in business development or marketing roles within a law firm, with demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives and managing high-level projects. A strong understanding of firm operations, competitive intelligence, and business planning is required.
Responsibilities include:

Partnering with Litigation Practice leaders to design and implement client development initiatives that strengthen existing relationships and generate new opportunities.

Developing and executing tailored client development plans focused on key litigation markets and sectors.

Leading strategic initiatives to enhance client engagement, increase visibility, and position the firm’s litigation practices in target industries.

Overseeing the creation of high-quality marketing materials, pitches, proposals, and directory submissions that showcase the firm’s litigation expertise.

Analyzing litigation market trends, client activity, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and drive business growth.
