Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist / Accountant to join a dynamic organization in Las Vegas on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of key financial processes, and contributing to the success of a growing team.
The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience, a strong understanding of financial operations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day accounting functions while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to support overall business operations.

Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and supporting documentation
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Enter and maintain financial data within the accounting system
- Support general ledger accounting functions as assigned
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience required
- Experience with ERP and accounting software preferred
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Must reside in and be able to commute to the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada
