Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to represent mortgage servicers and creditor clients in residential and commercial foreclosure matters. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle foreclosure matters on behalf of mortgage servicers and lender clients from demand through sale
- Draft and review notices of default, acceleration letters, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and related filings
- Appear in court for foreclosure hearings, contested matters, and related litigation proceedings
- Manage motions for summary judgment, hearings, and post-judgment remedies
- Coordinate with servicers regarding loss mitigation status, reinstatements, and bankruptcy overlap
- Handle replevin actions and collateral recovery matters when applicable
- Ensure compliance with CFPB regulations, investor guidelines, state foreclosure statutes, and court rules
- Communicate effectively with clients, trustees, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Licensed in Texas or California, or both Missouri and Kansas
- 3+ years of creditor-side foreclosure experience (mortgage servicing representation strongly preferred)
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license in good standing in the applicable state
- Courtroom experience handling foreclosure hearings and contested matters
- Familiarity with replevin procedures and collateral recovery
- Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and statutory timelines in a high-volume environment
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using SharePoint and document management systems
- Familiarity with e-filing platforms and foreclosure case management systems
- Comfortable leveraging technology to manage workflow and reporting
