Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Paralegal for our client, a well-established medium-sized law firm in downtown Dallas specializing in insurance defense. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in construction defect and personal injury defense.
Responsibilities:
- Develop construction case chronologies (construction defect experience required)
- Schedule depositions, mediations, inspections, and meetings
- Manage calendars and monitor discovery deadlines, hearings, and depositions
- Order, review, and summarize depositions, workers’ comp, employment, and medical records
- Review and organize document production from opposing parties and co-defendants
- Respond to subpoenas and prepare discovery responses, notices, motions, and settlement agreements
- Assist in preparing exhibits, pleadings, and trial materials
- Prepare open records requests
- Attend select depositions and meetings with clients and counsel
- Handle state and federal e-filing
- Manage large, document-heavy electronic case files
- Communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals
Qualifications:
- Associate degree and/or paralegal certification
- 3-5 years construction defect experience
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
