Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a major company headquartered in Dallas, TX to find a Labor & Employment Paralegal to join their in-house counsel team. This hybrid opportunity requires three days per week onsite and two days remote. The role is currently open due to a contractor transitioning to a permanent opportunity elsewhere and has the potential to go long-term temp for the right candidate.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Paralegal to support attorneys and collaborate with the broader paralegal team on all aspects of workplace law, including litigation, counseling, and compliance. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to manage complex employment-related matters across various industries. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent attention to detail, and has a solid understanding of federal and state labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and EEOC/NLRB/DOL submissions.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Coordinate discovery processes, including reviewing personnel records, payroll data, and preparing privilege logs.
- Draft employment-related agreements such as severance, confidentiality, and non-compete agreements.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and docket updates.
- Conduct legal research on labor statutes, case law, and administrative regulations (Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.).
- Prepare EEOC position statements and responses to agency charges or complaints.
- Liaise with HR departments to gather facts and documentation relevant to investigations or disputes.
- Support attorneys during workplace investigations, including organizing evidence and preparing interview summaries.
- Manage document production and assist with eDiscovery platforms.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of paralegal experience, with at least 1 year in labor & employment law.
- Familiarity with employment litigation procedures and administrative agency processes.
- Proficient with legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management systems (e.g., Relativity, iManage). (Training provided on software.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of discretion with confidential information.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting counsel in collective bargaining, union grievances, or wage-and-hour audits.
- Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems for evidence collection.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery tools and processes.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience).
