Trademark Paralegal – Intellectual Property Practice
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join our dynamic and growing Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in U.S. and international trademark prosecution and enforcement, and will play a key role in supporting attorneys in the full lifecycle of trademark matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and file U.S. and international trademark applications, renewals, assignments, and other filings with the USPTO and WIPO
* Conduct trademark searches and prepare clearance reports
* Assist with prosecution and maintenance of global trademark portfolios
* Coordinate with foreign counsel regarding international filings and deadlines
* Draft and file responses to Office Actions under attorney supervision
* Maintain and update docketing systems with all trademark deadlines and filings
* Communicate directly with clients regarding status updates and documentation requests
* Generate and manage reports related to trademark portfolio activities
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of experience in trademark prosecution in a law firm
* Familiarity with trademark docketing software (e.g., CPI, WebTMS, FoundationIP)
* Working knowledge of U.S. and international trademark procedures and regulations
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and IP management systems
* Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate a plus
