Sr. QA Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking highly talented and experienced quality assurance engineers to join our team, dedicated to planning, designing, and executing test scenarios, implementing automation strategy, and contributing to the test effort as a member of an agile team that revolutionizes the automation and digitization of business processes. Your expertise in contributing to enterprise-level projects will be instrumental in the success of this role.
The Expertise You Have
- Our ideal candidate has designed and executed testing on high-scale production services, is very passionate about supporting great software products and is passionate about learning new technologies.
- Proficient in testing tools and methodologies, and the ability to ensure high-performance, high-reliability operation of large-scale systems.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
- API testing experience (Rest Assured or similar)
- Experience working with client-side API tools (Postman, Bruno, Insomnia or similar)
- BDD experience or familiarity – Cucumber and Gherkin experience is a plus
- Experience with Java, SQL, JavaScript, AWS
- Solid understanding of the software development process including planning, analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, and problem resolution
- Experience with agile methodology and tool sets (JIRA)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with Git
- Participate in understanding and refinement of User Stories, QA related tasks and test cases, and functional automation
- Triage and log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution
- Participate in production release deployment verification on a regular cadence
- Excellent and effective communication required
MUST HAVES:
- REST API Testing, team uses Bruno, but would also take Insomnia or Postman if they didn’t have Bruno exp.
- BDD using Gherkin or Cucumber
- Exposure to AWS, experience working in Cloud Environments.
- Some Familiarity with Java from Testing perspective.
