Job Summary:
Our client is a well-established electrical contractor seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage union and non-union payroll, certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and labor compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly union and non-union payroll for 150+ employees, including earnings, deductions, fringe benefits, overtime, and garnishments.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports while ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws, union agreements, and labor regulations.
- Manage payroll tax filings, employee benefit deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1095s, 1099s).
- Maintain union wage schedules, labor classifications, and fringe benefit calculations.
- Review subcontractor certified payroll, insurance documentation, and project compliance requirements.
- Prepare payroll, labor cost, and compliance reporting while supporting audits and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of union payroll and labor compliance experience within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage requirements, and union labor agreements.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance, fringe benefit reporting, and multi-state payroll processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
