Accounting Manager

  1. Manage and supervise staff and activities of Accounting Department – To discuss
  2. Assist with preparation of monthly business activity reports, financial forecasts and annual budgets
  3. Analyze financial statements and actual-to-budget variances monthly
  4. Oversee monthly sales commissions reports and payments
  5. CLOSINGS: Preparation of closings from month-end through year-end including adjusting journal entries and financial statements. Prepare notes to be included in quarterly and year-end financial statements
  6. Lead cycle count program
  7. Assist with the financial review for quarterly Board of Directors meetings
  8. Assist with Business and Work Comp Insurance Audits
  9. Assist with Phase 2 & 3 for new Global ERP Platform
  1. Payroll – Paychex Platform
  2. Onboard new EEs
  1. Prepare and Process bi-weekly payroll
  2. Confirm Production Hours/Time sheets

iii. Track PTO – Employee vacation schedules

  1. Enter new EEs in Paychex & EE Navigator (Benefits portal)
  2. Terminate EEs in Paychex & EE Navigator
  3. Maintain EE files

vii. Work with HR Generalist at Paychex for questions regarding human resources

  1. 401(k) – Empower portal
  1. Temporary Agencies/Placement Service
  2. Post Admin Office openings & production help (temp & temp-to-hire)
  3. Review Resumes – temp & direct hire positions

iii. Send hours and/or approve hours each week for agency/contracted labor

  1. Participate in Health insurance renewal meetings -Medical/Dental/Vision/Life
  2. PCORI – Davevic prepares returns, e-mails to SCC to mail check
  3. Review and approve insurance invoices – Medical/Dental/Vision/Life
  4. Workers comp / Work injuries reporting (EHS Manager )
  5. OSHA 300 (EHS Manager)

III. Other Responsibilities / Back-up to:

  1. Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  2. Computer data back up
  3. Back-up to VP-Finance on all financial and accounting matters
  1. REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  3. Five+ years of related experience preferred.
