Growing company is looking for a strategic, hands on Accounts Payable Manager. Ideal profile is someone not afraid to be hands on but also brings a process improvement mindset.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, or ACH transactions
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Handle all vendor correspondence via phone, email fax and mail
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and/or approvals prior to data entry
- Process invoices for payment
- Investigate and resolve issues associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
- Correspond with plant personnel
- Process remittance information for electronic payments
- Research and resolve discrepancies with payment issues
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- File, maintain, and/or scan AP documents and invoices
- 1099 Quarterly review and maintenance of invoice postings
- Assist with month end closing
- Support audits
- Perform other duties as required to support management and department

Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Administration preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to read, interpret and comprehend data
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
