Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Cost Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both operations and commercial teams, providing critical cost and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, inventory valuation, and related metrics across North American operations

Collaborate with plant operations and supply chain teams to provide insights that support cost control and operational efficiency.

Assist in monthly close activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, focusing on cost drivers, product margins, and manufacturing performance.

Prepare reports and analysis on volume, sales trends, contribution margin, and product profitability.

Help maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies and SOX requirements.

Contribute to internal and external audit support related to inventory, costing, and operational data.

Continuously identify and implement process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost accounting and reporting functions.

Provide ad hoc analysis and support to finance leadership and key business stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling and advanced functions.

Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
