About the Opportunity
A real estate company based in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its corporate accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation and an interest in the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Assist with consolidated reporting and internal financial packages
- Support property-level accounting, including revenue tracking and expense allocations
- Partner with operations and leasing teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Participate in accounting for new developments, capital projects, and asset transactions
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; real estate or property management experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency with Excel; comfort working in a mid-sized ERP environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
