Commercial Demand Planning Analyst
Sales Forecasting | Finance & Operations Analytics
Position Summary
This role supports commercial and operational performance by transforming financial and demand data into actionable insights. The Commercial Demand Planning Analyst partners closely with finance, operations, and planning stakeholders to improve forecast reliability, support inventory optimization, and enable data-driven decision-making. The position emphasizes analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement rather than traditional manufacturing or procurement-based planning.
Core Responsibilities
Analyze sales, demand, and operational data to support forecasting accuracy and business planning.
Develop and enhance forecasting methodologies to balance product availability, cost control, and service levels.
Monitor demand trends and variances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align demand signals with supply capabilities and business priorities.
Create, maintain, and improve analytical reports, dashboards, and KPIs that track commercial and operational performance.
Contribute to the evolution of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through analysis, insights, and change support.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and analytical workflows through automation and system enhancements.
Lead or support cross-functional initiatives and special projects focused on operational efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, or a related analytical discipline.
3+ years of experience in financial analysis, operations analysis, demand forecasting, or commercial analytics.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Clear and effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Exposure to CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
Background in finance-led or commercial analytics environments.
