Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Record journal entries, including accruals, amortization, and depreciation.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet schedules.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tenant billings.
- Manage cash activity, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Assist with annual budgets and periodic reforecasting.
- Prepare CAM and other year‑end reconciliation packages.
- Ensure accurate invoice coding, documentation, and audit trail.
- Support external audits and provide requested financial schedules.
- Collaborate with property management teams regarding financial performance, tenant activity, and operational needs.
- Participate in special projects and process improvements as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ of accounting experience; real estate/property accounting experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Experience with property management accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) is beneficial.
