Senior Investment Accountant

Overview

A private investment firm is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team. The position is involved in fund and management company accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and coordination with third‑party service providers. The Senior Accountant works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, timely closes, and strong operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a third‑party administrator on quarterly fund closes and related entities
• Perform accounting and close activities for management companies
• Manage cash activity, payables, and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare and support periodic investor reporting
• Assist with portfolio reporting, valuations, and monitoring tools
• Support annual audit and tax processes
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor inquiries
• Contribute to ongoing firm and operational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting or audit experience across funds or financial services
• Strong accounting fundamentals and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of work
• Strong communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems a plus
• Organized, proactive, and adaptable mindset
