Accounts Receivable Specialist – Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Washington, DC for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. The position is responsible for managing incoming payments, generating invoices, tracking outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collection of funds to maintain healthy cash flow and accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner based on contract terms
- Monitor accounts for overdue payments and proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely collections
- Apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to the appropriate customer accounts
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash
- Maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivable activity, including aging reports and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to resolve disputes and ensure accurate account management
