We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role offers the chance to join a growing organization and take ownership of full-cycle accounting responsibilities while supporting clients with accounting advisory and compliance needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, agency regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Review and analyze financial reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly reports.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies or process issues as needed.
- Provide input on the development of accounting systems, reports, forms, and documented procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
- Manage accounting advisory engagements and deliver ongoing accounting support to clients.
- Post financial transactions, receive and record payments, and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Track fixed assets, inventory, and prepare depreciation schedules.
