**Hybrid – 3 days in office downtown Washington DC**
Job Duties
- Lead complex client billing and account analysis, including preparation of detailed invoices and financial documentation.
- Monitor outstanding balances, proactively address billing issues, and collaborate with partners and business services to ensure timely collections.
- Train, mentor, and provide leadership to Client Accounting Assistants and Coordinators; act as point of contact in supervisor’s absence.
- Coordinate department workflow, identify problems, and develop creative solutions aligned with departmental goals.
- Maintain up-to-date client and partner files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to support firm-wide client accounting goals and contribute to continuous improvement of billing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5+ years of legal billing and account analysis experience, preferably within a large law firm.
- Proficiency with legal accounting systems such as Aderant, Elite, or 3E; strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
- Proven ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgment in handling sensitive matters.
