Senior Accountant – Arlington, VA
Overview
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Arlington, VA to identify a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is well-suited for an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting who thrives in a collaborative environment. This position is fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting operations and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
