Private Credit – Senior Finance Associate
Location: Boston, MA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, in office three days per week

A leading global investment firm specializing in credit strategies is seeking a Private Credit Senior Finance Associate to support financial operations and fund management within its growing Private Credit platform. The firm manages a diversified portfolio across leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, structured products, middle-market lending, and distressed assets. Position Overview
The Private Credit – Senior Finance Associate will play a key role in managing fund operations, financial reporting, investor communications, and tax/legal structuring. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting or finance, experience in private credit or fixed income, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial operations for the firm’s Private Credit strategy, working closely with leadership.
- Analyze complex investment structures and assess tax, legal, and financial implications for funds.
- Assist with investor relations, responding to due diligence requests and preparing investor reports.
- Review fund returns, management fees, carried interest allocations, NAV calculations, and expenses.
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage capital call and distribution processes.
- Lead the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors and accounting teams.
- Perform analytical reviews of financial statements, identifying key insights and trends.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in investment advisory, private credit, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of investment structures, tax considerations, and fund financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex legal documents related to fund structures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
