Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed

About the Role:
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the fiscal operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance across a variety of publicly funded programs and private grants. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position is ideal for someone with nonprofit experience and a strong command of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and verify financial reports and information

Review and approve staff hiring forms and allocation changes for assigned programs

Review and authorize purchase orders and payment requests for accuracy and compliance

Analyze recurring fiscal issues and propose solutions

Support broader fiscal operations and adapt to evolving responsibilities
