Job Title: Staff Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a fast-growing, multi-billion-dollar global company based in Europe. This newly created role is fully on-site and offers exposure to a growing finance function in a dynamic warehouse and open office environment.
The Staff Accountant will support the Operations Controller with core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, financial analysis, and internal controls. This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, retail, or related industries, who is looking to grow their career alongside a company expanding its operations and acquiring additional distribution centers. International accounting experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Maintain general ledger accounts, sub-ledgers, and intercompany transactions.

Process accounts receivable and payable accurately and efficiently.

Analyze account fluctuations, variances, and financial trends.

Support internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and GAAP.

Participate in audits and provide documentation as required.

Assist with ERP and process improvements, as well as ad hoc financial analysis.

Gain familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices, including perishables, inventory adjustments, and cost tracking.
