Beacon Hill Financial is working with a healthcare organization in Stamford, CT to bring an experienced Accounting Manager to their team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with established accounting policies, and supporting the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Reporting to senior leadership, this role manages the accounting team, streamlines financial close processes, and provides support for audits, tax filings, and special projects. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the day-to-day corporate accounting functions, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Ensure team members meet financial reporting deadlines and maintain accuracy in all accounting activities.

Monitor departmental processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in the monthly close.

Oversee fixed asset management, including depreciation analysis and reconciliations.

Review and perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Support fiscal year-end close activities and coordinate with external auditors.

Assist in preparing information for tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.

Collaborate with internal departments such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, and FP&A to align on organizational goals.

Provide oversight for intercompany reconciliations and banking-related activities.

Train and mentor staff in accounting processes and systems.

Handle ad hoc requests and special projects from senior leadership.

Perform other duties as required to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license (or in process) preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with ERP accounting systems (experience with Oracle is a plus).

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
