We are partnered with a well-established law firm seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and supporting a busy accounting department with a wide range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and manage expense data in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and post journal entries as directed by department leads.
- Update and maintain QuickBooks customer records in coordination with the accounting team.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for firm credit cards and vendor accounts.
- Review medical record charges monthly and assign them accurately to client matters.
- Download and organize invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation for various vendor charges.
- Maintain electronic client accounting files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the review of settlement statements and preparation of client distributions.
- Generate and run client expense ledgers upon request by case teams.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support, including mailing, correspondence, and other departmental tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and client-focused demeanor.
