Our agency is partnering with a leading, innovative global consumer goods company to add a Deductions Analyst to their growing team. This role plays a critical part in analyzing, validating, and resolving customer deductions/chargebacks while collaborating closely with Sales, Logistics, and Finance. We’re seeking someone detail-oriented, analytical, and confident communicating with internal teams and major retail partners.
About the Role
The Deductions Analyst is responsible for investigating and analyzing outstanding customer deductions and charge-backs to determine compliance with customer agreements. You will work cross-functionally to ensure proper documentation, dispute invalid deductions professionally, and provide process improvement insights to both Accounting and Sales. This role requires strong independent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage high volumes of data, and a proactive approach to trend identification and customer behavior patterns.
You’ll organize and prioritize all open deductions, maintain accurate monthly reporting, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
Key Responsibilities

Research and validate deductions for a defined portfolio of retail accounts within set timeframes and company guidelines.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal Sales teams and external retail partners to support business decisions.

Maintain Excel spreadsheets and perform monthly reconciliations.

Use critical thinking to analyze, evaluate, and respectfully dispute invalid claims.

Prepare and organize documentation for internal departments and audit compliance.

Assist in maintaining the database of customer contracts and agreements.

Demonstrate understanding of promotional concepts, shipping requirements, and routing guides.

Utilize available software/tools to improve efficiency in deduction and charge-back analysis.

Support new process implementations to enhance operational proficiency.

Track customer repayment status on disputed charge-backs.

Prepare documentation for credit requests or repayment submissions.

Present account findings during bi-weekly reviews with management.
About You

Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing large volumes of data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

Logical reasoning, complex problem-solving, and analytical skillset.

Minimum 2 years of experience in deductions or charge-back analysis (retail experience preferred).
