Hybrid Staff Accountant
Location: Richmond Heights, OH

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving financial processes? We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This is a hybrid role of in-office and remote.
Duties:

Record and apply incoming payments within accounting and policy management systems.

Prepare and distribute recurring financial statements and payment summaries.

Conduct regular account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.

Review ledger entries for accuracy and consistency, resolving discrepancies as needed.

Document and refine accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy across systems.

Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting procedures.

Support external audits and collaborate with auditors or business partners as necessary.

Participate in cross-functional accounting initiatives and occasionally guide junior team members.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

2-5 years of hands-on general accounting experience.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of other MS Office tools.

Experience using financial or ERP software

A proactive mindset with excellent time management and analytical abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
