Beacon Hill is collaborating with a non-profit in Manhattan to bring an experienced Grants Accountant to their team. The Grants Accountant is responsible for the financial management, monitoring, and reporting of government and private grants and contracts. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records for restricted and unrestricted grants and contracts
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funder guidelines, budgets, and contract terms
- Prepare and post journal entries related to grants, allocations, accruals, and cost distributions
- Reconcile grant revenue and expense accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual grant financial reports for government agencies and private funders
- Assist in the development of grant budgets, budget modifications, and funding proposals as needed
- Perform budget‑to‑actual variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain organized grant files and supporting documentation
