Senior Accountant
Our client in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to join their growing team on a temporary-to-hire basis. You’ll begin as a Beacon Hill temporary employee to streamline onboarding, but the role is intended to transition to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Controller and broader accounting leadership team by performing advanced accounting functions, including:

Leading bank and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls

Managing the recording and maintenance of fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules

Taking a hands-on role in the month-end close process, preparing schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation

Preparing and posting complex journal entries with appropriate supporting evidence

Assisting with process improvements and participating in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Contributing to cross-functional collaboration with Finance, AP/AR, and operational teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting
Qualifications
To be successful in this Senior Accountant role, you should bring:

3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in fast-paced or complex environments

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance may be considered with strong accounting coursework)

Hands-on experience with a QuickBooks Online, or other ERP systems

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formula-based analysis

Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
