My client, a large New York based organization with a significant union workforce, is looking to hire a Payroll Supervisor who is fluent in Spanish to join their corporate team in Queens.
This role sits within HR and reports directly to senior payroll leadership, overseeing a team of four in a high volume, weekly payroll environment supporting approximately 4,000 employees across multiple states. The position is very hands on and requires someone who can both manage and execute, serving as a true partner to leadership rather than just processing payroll.
You will assume ownership of union and non union payroll review, audit controls, escalations, and payroll to general ledger coordination. The environment is deadline driven and highly interactive with Accounting and Finance, so accuracy, timeliness, and accountability are absolutely critical.
The organization is also preparing for a major HRIS transformation and ERP integration, so this is an opportunity to be involved in meaningful systems implementation and data migration work while strengthening internal controls and workflows.
They are looking for someone polished, professional, and comfortable delegating to a strong team while maintaining full accountability for output. Candidates should demonstrate strong tenure and experience processing payroll for 1,500 to 2,000 plus employees in a union heavy environment.
Compensation is targeting $95K to $115K base. The role is hybrid, typically 3 to 4 days onsite depending on payroll week. Flexibility around weekly payroll deadlines is important.
