A rapidly growing public accounting firm in Mentor, OH, is seeking a full-time or part-time Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team! This is an in-office role in Mentor, OH. Key Responsibilities:
- Code and enter bank statements and other bookkeeping transactions accurately.
- Complete month-end processes and reconcile client bank accounts.
- Support accounting staff and clients as needed.
- Prepare reports, payroll, sales tax returns, year-end forms, and financial statements.
- Process client payroll: update systems, verify timesheets, handle payroll cycles and deposits.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online)
- Experience with sales tax return preparation is a plus.
- Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Strong MS Excel skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
