DETAILS: LEAD SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT
Title: Lead Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Nashville TN (Metro Center)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $150k-180k + Bonus
Type: Direct Hire opportunity
Hours: 8am – 5pm | Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS: LEAD SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT
* Certified Public Accountant.
* Prior or current public tax accounting experience
* Prior or current corporate tax accounting experience
RESPONSIBILITIES: LEAD SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT
* Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for C corporations, partnerships, and S corporations, in coordination with external tax firms.
* Manage the calculation and review of quarterly estimated tax payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Maintain ownership of tax workpapers, calculations, rollforwards, and documentation supporting both internally prepared and outsourced work.
* Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 for a privately held company.
* Conduct in-depth technical research on complex tax issues, document conclusions, implement guidance and contributing to special projects as required.
* Collaborate with other internal departments and assist in tax audits, providing necessary documentation and support as needed.
* Manage tax compliance calendars, including extensions, estimated payments, and filings.
* Serve as day to day internal lead on outsourced tax engagements, reviewing deliverables and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by direct reports.
* Manage tax audits, notices, and correspondence with taxing authorities.
