PURCHASING SPECIALIST/BUYER: DETAILS
Title: Purchasing Specialist/Buyer
Location: 515 Great Circle Road, Nashville, TN 37228
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $24-$26.44/hour
Type: Contract (1+ month) – Leave Coverage
Hours: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours
Additional Note: Role will be 100% on-site to start, potential remote flexibility based on performance from here.
REQUIREMENTS: PURCHASING SPECIALIST/BUYER
* 2+ years of purchasing/buying with ERP experience
* Sage experience (strongly preferred)
* Audit experience (required)
RESPONSIBILITIES: PURCHASING SPECIALIST/BUYER
* Create POs and track from placement through delivery
* Managing credit card payments
* Obtain materials and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need
* Analyze inventory data and trends and make adjustments to reorder points accordingly
* Create reports to support inventory data, costs, usage and trends
* Submit purchase orders to vendors in adherence to purchase approval policy applicable contracts and ISO guidelines where applicable
* Manage item master for assigned vendors, update cost and provide supporting data for changes
* Resolve discrepancies and assist inventory control and accounting as needed
